The storage period of the data varies. Your personal data will be stored in ILIAS for no longer than the duration of your work/studies or participation in further education and training, unless there are longer statutory retention periods (e.g. obligation to provide proof of regular participation in compulsory training courses as part of your work at the UMG). The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b EU GDPR. Your data will be deleted once your activity has ended and the statutory retention periods have expired.

The ILIAS eLearning system uses a session cookie. This small text file only contains an encrypted character string that helps you navigate the system. The cookie is deleted when you log out of ILIAS or close the browser.

The ILIAS eLearning system uses TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator. State-of-the-art transport encryption means that the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
